Similar designs, but…

After Copenhagen, we went to Geneva to inspect their water supply system, which was of great interest to me. Geneva’s water comes from a freshwater lake near the city, at a distance similar from Karaj to Gachsar. Lake Geneva is quite large, about ten kilometers wide. We took a boat to the far end of the lake to inspect the water supply system. I inquired about the water’s pollution levels; they draw water from a depth of eight meters to minimize contamination. Additionally, every building in Geneva is equipped with a water purification system, and anyone constructing a building there must comply with this requirement. When I asked, “What do you do when the weather gets warm and more water is needed?” an official with us explained, “We have several wells that serve as reserves; we use them.” We implemented this plan in Karaj, though obtaining permission was challenging as we had to drill wells based on allocated quotas. Furthermore, Tehran’s water shortfall was also supplied from Karaj, leading to water scarcity in our region during summer, which we addressed with water from these wells.
